Haffenreffer & Associates consults and provides educational services to long-term care and community based care facilities nationwide. It has assisted over 300 facilities out of decertification since 1989 and has developed and presented over 100 workshops and classes on a variety of issues essential to long term and community based care.

All services are provided with four aims in view: 1) Quality, person centered care, 2) Staff competency and job satisfaction, 3) Executive efficiency and peace of mind, and 4) Regulatory compliance.

Hands-on consultation
We will visit your Long Term Care, Assisted Living Facility (CBC) or Foster Home to address your specific issues and concerns, including survey issues (2567, Action Plan, informal dispute), implementation of new programs, staff training or assisting with facility wide culture change. We recommend our 20 point Mock Survey based on our 20 Standards for Person Centered Care in which we will identify areas which surveyors will likely also find.  Additional audits we perform include CQI, MDS, PPS and QIS. Our written report will detail our findings and clearly explain how you can improve.  If you wish, we will provide follow-up consultation including Policy & Procedure development, training and implementation.

Resource Optimization
Using MDS Audits, staffing studies, and reviewing reimbursement documentation, we can help you assure that all appropriate reimbursement is applied for and staffing patterns are appropriate for the census and acuity of your facility.
